Myself and my fellow Bearded Robot; Peter, will be Live-streaming our adventures on Techland’s 2015 hit; Dying Light over the next month or so.
I have completed Dying Light back then, but I only did it solo, so playing it with people will be an interesting experience, and Peter has not played this (so he does not know much about this game), so he will be jumping in to it with fresh eyes!
The reason we have picked this is, not only because Peter has not played it, but because we have been feeling the effects the summer gaming drought and wanted to play something that was Co-op. We know that Destiny 2 just came out, but that doesn’t offer as much of a wider range of gameplay as oppose to Dying Light, which features, Stealth, Action, Parkour, Exploration, and just genuine comical moments that might occur unexpectedly.

We will announce on social media when we are streaming, so if you are about then come and join us; the supposed harden veteran, and the rookie.
If you have never seen this game either, then it will definitely worth your time in checking it out. Alternatively, there are two extra spaces knocking about (given that Dying Light is a 4player game), so if you are free during the streams, drop us a message during, or ahead of time so we can arrange, and maybe you can join us on our endeavors.
Expect foal language and poor decisions.

Dying Light is an openworld first person survival horror action game created in 2015 by Techland, who had previous made another openworld first person survival horror action game; Dead Island. Although Dead Island had its flaws, it was still an enjoyable game. Even more so as I personally played it solo, so it really added a true horror element to it (as co-op it does tend to get a bit silly and so the scares are far less). Techland took what they had learned from that game and created Dying Light. The maps were bigger, the story was well better developed and told throughout the game, the leveling system was gone, parkour was added, and the true horror element was added, even if you were playing co-op, when the sun goes down, that’s when the game becomes terrifying (and I am really looking forward to replaying this). The day and night cycle really does make you think of how you are going to approach the game. You always have to check the clock and make sure you are not going to be caught out after dark!

The story of the game revolves around an undercover agent named Kyle Crane who is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a city called Harran, only to discover that the place is infested with Zombie-esc infected humans, some of which have mutated and become something far worse.

I really enjoyed Dying Light and would rate it as one of the best games of 2015 (had it not been for: the Witcher3, MGS: Phantom Pain, Fallout4, Bloodbourne, Batman: Arkham Knight, Life is Strange, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Rocket League, Star Wars: Battlefront, and Until Dawn – tough year to compete in). I have been eager to get back on this over the last two years and am quite excited to play it once again, so hopefully you might be able to come along and join us.
