So not long after the announcement of Telltale’s Minecraft: Story Mode – Season 2, have they announced that three other episodic adventures are getting new seasons.
I am a big fan of Telltale games and have played all of them with the exception of Guardians of the Galaxy, which I am waiting until it has all been released to do so, but normally I have bought and played every new episode the moment that they have been released, ever since they first made their mark on the world of gaming with the incredibly The Walking Dead – Season 1 (which I still think is still the best one that has been made).

The announcement came yesterday and I received an email stating that the next tales to getting new seasons were:

Batman: The Telltale Series – The Enemy Within.

The Wolf Among Us – Season 2.

And, The Walking Dead – The Final Season.

Now the first season of Telltale’s Batman came out only last year. It was a good retelling of Batman and some of his major villains, allowing you to make hard hitting choices (as is the norm with these games) allowing you to shape the story how you wish, sometimes creating the classic iconic Batman villains that we all know and love, through difficult decisions that you have made earlier in the game.
While it was not the best Telltale game series they had done, it was still quite an enjoyable story. The new detective mode got a little boring after the first time, and each episode forced you to do it. They threw in their own version of the Joker, who was not the best in my opinion, but hopefully, judging by the picture, the Joker might be taking the centre stage for this adventure (which is what the people always want anyway), along side the Riddler, who is predominately featured in the trailer below.
I had made a hard choice with relation to the Joker in the first season and I am quite excited to see what how it is going to affect the next one. As this is one of the most recent Telltale games I have played, they are still pretty fresh in my mind, so any links to the first season should hopefully go unmissed.

The next one is the Wolf Among Us – Season 2. I am very excited about this as, other that the first season of The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us is one of the best Telltale games series out there. I replayed it when it was released on Xbox One for Games with Gold, and I loved it all over again.
At first you think that because of the world setting, you feel as if you can be an arsehole to whoever you want, but all those bad choices come back to haunt you in the final episode. I proper looking forward to see what consequences my decisions have on the next episode, as there were a lot of unanswered questions and cliffhangers. I am not even 100% sure on the ending of the first season, but I am hoping that they really do explain it.
While the only downside to season 1 was the Crooked Man and who he turned out to be, the rest of the season is pure gold and if you haven’t played it, then I would suggest you do so immediately.

Lastly we have the FINAL SEASON of The Walking Dead. This was the series that spawned these whole new age point and click decision/consequence games that put Telltale back on the map.
The first season of The Walking Dead was absolutely amazing, and nothing has been able to top it since. It was powerful and had a deep and engaging story, with some great characters. Although the seasons have got progressively worse as they have gone along, they are still full of hard decisions that leave you feeling you have messed up regardless of what you choose.
The fact that it is announced as the “Final Season” means that they have something in store. Clementine has been such an amazing character, and we have watched her grow so much based on the choices that we have made. In a way, we have helped molded her into the badass zombie killer that she is now. I am a little concern that they might actually kill her off, but so long as they do it in a good and dramatic way, then I do not mind personally.
This was the most recent Telltale game that they have released (and which I have played), other than the incomplete Guardians of the Galaxy which has still yet to finish, so the choices will still be fresh for everyone. This is definitely one to watch out for and if you haven’t played any of them yet, then you need to catch up, and I am sure you own them since they have been constantly released on Games with Gold and the PlayStation Plus.

I was expecting a new season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones, but perhaps they will release that one next year, closer to the final season of the show, but we will have to wait and see.
In the meantime I am very excited by this announcement from Telltale Games, and I eagerly await their release in the upcoming months.
